The countdown is on for one of the region’s most inspiring fundraising events. The
Bridge 2 Bridge 4 (B2B4) campaign in support of the
Give Where You Live Foundation will officially launch on
Saturday 11 October at the Barwon Heads Bowling Club.
Hosted by local favourite
Ian Cover of
Coodabeen Champions fame, the evening will feature an exclusive keynote from
Simon Gerrans — Australian cycling legend, Tour de France yellow jersey wearer, and owner of Hendry’s. Guests will also hear from
Zac Lewis, CEO of Give Where You Live, about the critical impact of community-driven support.
Since its inception in 2015, the
Barwon Heads Cycling Club (BHCC) has pedalled beyond sport to drive real social change. This November, a team of ten riders will take on the fourth edition of the
Bridge 2 Bridge Charity Ride — an extraordinary 900-kilometre journey from the Murray River Bridge in Albury to the Barwon Heads Bridge, navigating the rugged Victorian High Country along the way.
All funds raised through B2B4 will directly support the
Give Where You Live Foundation, helping to tackle inequity and disadvantage across the Geelong region.
